>>1985537I can weigh in on Okuma. I'm a big fan. They have their super expensive options, which are really well made, but even their cheaper options are not poorly made. I took a risk on an Avenger baitfeeder reel for for surf caster, and haven't been disappointed. It's also good for trolling, since it will let a fish pull freely with minimal resistance. They're easy and cheap to maintain and repair in my experience (Tuna's Reel Troubles is a good place for cheap replacement parts).
