Historically such years bring increased moisture (rain or snow) to parts of the northern states (BC, AB, WA, OR, ID, MT) while the southern ones usually end up a little drier (CO, CA, UT, AZ, NM) with below average snow. At least most normies never leave the resorts and the back country is usually free of them.
