>>1766417I tried growing oyster mushrooms from an old block that stopped producing. Saw it at Walmart and thought it would be fun to raise some and after I got two flushes off it I crumbled it up with straw and threw it in a coffee can to see if I could get more from it if I gave it more food. Now I'm thinking about throwing a bunch of little pieces of dowel rod into it, then once they get some mycelium I'm going to punch them into some old logs around the property and see what I can make happen. I don't really know anything about mycology, I'm just flying blind and seeing what works. After this straw is done I'm going to make a 5 gallon bucket and try make it bigger but I'm not sure how long it will last, I imagine after enough time it's going to die like everything else.
