>>241201The padded straps feel great and won't fatigue your deltoid/trapezius/shoulder socket even with a fair amount of weight. It has a padded waist lumbar strap, and a leather thorax strap which clips to a brass ring, both straps can be tightened/loosened, there's a fair bit of modification that can be done to the pack. The side mesh and pockets could be a little bigger, but they will fit a denatured alcohol can snuggly. I think they're mostly for tying things to, for example I tied my lifestraw to the topmost part of the string.
If you buy one, you'll have to rough it up a bit to wear it in. The leather is very stiff, but over time it becomes easily manipulated. I havn't oiled mine yet, nor applied any wax to the canvas because quite frankly, I don't see a reason to. It performs perfectly the way it is now. Sometime down the line I will though.
