Food grade stainless steel. No plastic inner coating like aluminium bottles. Can be boiled in an open fire without any of the issues arising from heating up plastic such as chemical contamination seeping into the contents or structurally weakening the vessel.
I also often stick an Olicamp Space Saver cup on the end for a canteen / cup combo.
