>>1574811The osi is literally shaving sharp and i would have touched up my heavy bowie but you're right a smaller more slicing oriented knife would be useful. There is actually a knife at home depot that i walked past and thought "that would be a good skinning knife" by the geometry

Its obviously not a high end knife but i think it might be worth pulling the trigger on, I've had some nice knives made of mystery steel. I definitely would try some whittling and general use with it before committing to bringing it with me, but i think it might be worth a gamble
