Wisconsin is seriously underrated for the outdoors. It doesn't have the mountains but a fuck ton of lakes, rivers and streams, most are fantastic fishing. People are pretty spaced out. But lately ive had 3 new families from Minneapolis move on my very road. One already slapped up no trespassing signs and rides his ATV's everywhere.
Winters can be depressingly long going 6 months or more. The cold is tolerable but it can go a gew weeks of serious cold snaps. Spring and fall i like myself. No skeeters and cool yet comfortable weather. Summer can be muggy as all holy fuck, but usually fairly dry. People are friendly as fuck. Very few confrontations.
Also invest in a brush guard for your vehicle. The deer love to jihad themselves in the fall around dawn and dusk. Your front grill will thank you.
