Is it worth getting into amateur radio in 2022? I've always been interested in how radios work and whenever I go camping up in the mountains or on the coast I'll bring along a shortwave radio to see what I can pick up.
I hear it's not super difficult to get a basic license but family members have just told me that amateur radio nowdays is just boomers talking about how their doctors appointment went and bitching at anyone younger than 40 for being on the air.
