Take a look at the Case stockman on the far left and the Camillus trapper next to the Case lockback. That's what a patina on a knife blade should look like and it takes a while to form. In a year or two the Moore Maker (second from left) will have the same patina, it's 1095. The Uncle Henry stockman and Case lockback are both stainless. Every knife in that picture except the Moore Maker is at least 20 years old.
