So I bought all that shit for wacky rigs and drop shot rigs yesterday. Tried out the wacky rigs last night but didn't have shit for luck. Just ran them weightless. But to be fair, I was at the peacock lake with incredibly clear water. 80% of the time I'm there I get skunked, 15% of the time the largemouth are biting good, and 5% of the time the peacocks are biting.
I want to tie up some drop shot rigs to try out and I got some 1/8oz finesse weights like pic related. Do I really just slide the line up in it? It doesn't seem like it would hold without a knot.
How far from the bait should I run the weight? 12"? 18"? And what do you guys like to run on drop shots? I see pics of wacky rigged senkos and flukes but I'm thinking an offset worm hook with a lizard might work well.
