I know a guy who goes out metal detecting on the beach. He waits until the lowest tides of the year and then goes out around the water line.
He also does it around piers at super low tide.
Obviously the stuff is usually underwater, he finds lots of shit that came off when swimming dropped from piers.
Never done it myself, but he had boxes of silver rings and shit.
