Those posts of city ""people"" being scared of the /out/doors aren't a meme, large swaths of the population have no means to be in nature with any regularity, and even if they managed to bum a ride from someone who did own a car, there are no uncrowded parks within 3 hours of any major metro area so they still would never experience being "one" with nature.
I would pity them, but they are very smug about rotting in their piss-soaked concrete panopticons and thus deserve their fate.
