hi guys i'm looking for advise on what to plant when? I began a memorial garden for my brother last year. I live in PA, suburbs of Phila. Looking for flowering plants that will attract bees.
I put in snap dragons, echinacea, russian sage, zennias, cosmos. I also found a dahlia but it seemed to thrive over the rest of the garden and take over. I attempted hollyhock and sunflowers, but i didn't plant them until late july so they didn't have time to mature. I don't want to make the same mistake this year.
It's beginning to warm up here, but about to drop to 30's again for the weekend. When is it safe to begin planting and what should I start out with? Also considering beginning a few seedlings indoors, but I don't know if it will be warm enough/light enough in my windowsills around the house for them to do well until Spring anyway since I can't really afford the proper lights. Thanks for your help!
