Michigan is a beautiful state, as I'm sure you already know. But, to experience true beauty, I would recommend a trip a little further north, into the Upper Peninsula. Maybe try jetting north toward the Keweenaw and spend some time in the Porcupine Mountains out west.
I've lived in the UP for three years now and I can honestly say lower Michigan pales in comparison.
