I always take pic related if I'm out for a few days. £2 for just over 1000 calories that's not bulky.
Instant oat packets (pour water directly into bag so you don't need to scrub your shit clean after), white rice, sachets of tuna or chicken, tea bags, sugar, soup and nuts are always with me as staples.
Ramen, cheese, chocolate, tortillas or dried potatoes are the only common things I'll throw in if I fancy them.
