I know someone who works with a hunting/camping outfitter in the Rockies and they mainly horse pack everything. It sounds like the best way to camp in the back country. Horses can carry way more shit, those guys go out there with coolers, cots, camp chairs and eat steak with beer like kings. Sounded pretty based.
There's two different groups of horse people, those that own horses for a useful purpose like horse packing, work or equestrian and people that have horses as pets which burn through hay. The people who treat them like pets are larps and usually have the manors of the assholes we all share the road with.
