I have done trips with other people but most of the time they're less experienced and i actualy feel less safe. I don't know their exact physical ability. Will they be able to cross this pass in a day or will we get stuck in the dark etc. Some might bring a summer sleepingbag even if i tell them nighttime temps are expected to be well below freezing, they don't know how to keep themselfs warm and dry, I have to think about having enough water for everyone,...
If you always go with the same buddy that you know well it would be different ofcourse. And if you're the guy who can't keep himself warm, dry and hydrated it wouldn't be safer either.
No, i actually feel safer and more in control when i'm alone.
