I used to visit my Grandmother in Caloundra before it was filled with apartments and the only tall buildings were on the coastline. She lived in the nice little old folks village that was bordered by natural landscapes. You'd walk out the back and watch kangaroos and shit hop across the fields and it was just all round a nice out of the way area. Visit it now and its a sea of apartments all the way to her place, and the fields have been turned into those hideous cookie cutter box houses. The Roos that had lived in the area for years were forced out, and now the only natural landscape is this thin stretch of bush that the village managed to preserve. My dad lived on Bribie island when it was just a couple wood huts and not overtaken with suburbs. Used to have the whole island to just swim with his mates on their own beach and shit way out to the way. Needed a boat to fucking get there. Honestly I wish I could go back 40 years for a bit and just see what Australia looked like before everything started to become fucked up and sold off to China.
Pic Related. The beaches that he used to have near private access too. I think this particular one is still pretty private, but half the island is suburbs now, for no reason other then for rich fucks to say they live there.
