I remember having good luck with the Bass Pro XPS branded crank baits, good to use at new spots where you’re worried about snags, so I bought a couple of their inline spinners and they were fucking horrible. The blades wouldn’t even spin without going max speed. Happened with a few other cheap random ones too where I had to keep yanking them to start the blade, otherwise they surf on the blade and run super shallow.
