The handle is mundane and functional. It feels like it should. To me at least.
Probably could slip out of your hand if you had oil or blood on it. But the guard should keep your hand from slipping forward. No good way to add cord wrap.
I like the look of it. The side of the guard that rests on your hip is flat, so it doesn't dig into you.
