I've been using 80lb braid with a 50lb mono leader I tie on with a double uniknot. 4inch white swimshad as a lure, and a chintzy kastking megajaws baitcaster. The drag isn't really high enough so it gets smoked but it makes for a good fight. The rod is kind of a pos though. Pretty crooked blank and uneven guides. Should have bought an ugly stick desu. I have a Calcutta 801f lh coming from eBay, hopefully that makes things a bit better
