theres a few ways to do it. Should be mostly dry by morning tho, since the rain should run down the slope of the fly. shake off as much as you can either way. a lightweight tarp should fold to be really really small. if your fly/tarp doesnt do that either put it in a waterproof compression sack or roll it and put it outside the bag via straps, as you would with a sleeping mat.
