We've had some warm weather here Southern Ontario and the 40 garlic bulbs I planted last season are starting to sprout. The problem is that for the next week, overnight temperatures are going to drop to between -2 to -8 degC overnight. Will my garlic survive this without assistance or should I be looking into putting a tarp over them or some other preventative measure?
I've heard there may even be light snow in the next few days. Last year we got hit by -10degC weather with heavy snow and it annihilated my garlic.
