whether it's animals, plants, minerals, ecology, garden design, if they're even interested at all in it (because they usually just pretend they like animals and only like cats instead) they're only extremely shallowly interested in it.
they don't know enough to even have small-talk about it, they aren't interested enough to learn either yet miraculously they expect you to teach them something about it anyway.
