Really great, one big compartment and not overkill with the extra pockets. Slight downside is you can't overstuff it because the zipper design is either closed or not.
Other downside the straps on the bottom aren't big enough to fit my sleeping bag either and can't easily be extended. I bought it for day hikes but it is big enough to use for multi nights if only the bottom strap was better. I can always tie an extra strap on, but still...
