My damn legs are so short they barely reach the ground when I'm standing, so seat height is a consideration.
If you're really looking for something to just go on adventures with, there's also the Yamaha Ag (totally unstoppable, they're awesome.) or the likes of the Suzuki DR, both seriously fun bikes used for work around the world.
That Tenere though mate.... they're pretty damn specific for the sort of terrain they're good in. Road or desert.
Lots to think about eh! Just get something and roll with it until you know exactly what you want.
