>>2516913>Proper power station with solar panels They are a bit of a meme, being just a nice plastic box with controller, switches, outlets and an inverter DC/AC inverter (which is pointless in smaller installations, because it wastes too much energy). I put together mine using an old bathroom cabinet to house controller and battery. Only use 12v DC appliances, because they are the most efficient with small panels and a battery that still remains somewhat portable. Mine cost me about 650pln (last year prices) and has capacity of 60watt/50ah/10amp. Not fancy looking or very portable, but works well with simple comms (phone, pmr), led lights, hair clipper and entertainment devices like tablet, reader and radio. Obviously limited use in winter, due to our climate, would have to scale it up. LiFePo battery would be more optimal die to extended practical capacity and much lower weight, alas they are more expensive. As for the manual chargers I dont have any experience, toyed with the thought of putting one together myself based on bike and car alternator. Dont really have much faith in my ability to crank the generator with hands for long time.
