I always find rice a major PITA to cook at (minimal) camp-- I much prefer ramen-style noodle.
Two-can Curried Tuna:
1 large ~800ml tin can.
1 small ~400ml tin can.
(i.e: the tinned-fruit things; the smaller can usually does duty as a teacup)
boil a cheap packet of dried noodles in the 800ml tin, strain, and place in the 400ml tin.
chop one small onion, add two small single-serve butters, and peanuts. Put over the fire, stirring with a chopstick, until the onions are cooked.
add the curry powder (to taste..) and 2-3 salt and pepper serve packets; and sugar if you like. Heat that up a little.
add one 185g tin's sandwich tuna in oil (i.e: the 95 cents things from Coles), and cook that into the onion and peanuts. Stir in the heat until hot.
remove from the heat and stir in the noodles cooked previously.
cleaning up: provided you didn't let things burn on the bottom of the tins, it only takes about 1 cup (if that) of water to get both tin cans (and the chopsticks) clean again with a nylon scourer.
