Funnily enough while I was going for a walk today I stumbled across a kayak that had washed ashore, someone probably lost during the storm last week. The oar and rudder is still attached but the hatch is missing, other than that it seems in to be in okay condition except a few scratches, I dragged it along with me all the way home. I'm going to put an ad in the local paper asking if anyone is missing their kayak. But, if nobody comes to say it's theirs, can I legally take it and use it myself?
also, are packcrafts a good substitute for a kayak? They seems a lot cheaper and convenient
