Bought a new Field & Stream Inferno 20 spinning reel (
>>495546) and Stren 17lb Lo-Vis green fishing line and put the line as I had in years past (i.e. tie it on and spool it up) and it was CONSTANTLY fucking up on me, to the point I could only get a couple of casts out before it looped on me or turned into a birds nest and pretty much ruined the fishing trip (at least the fishing part).
Note; I never had this problem in the past.
Now a buddy said the line needs to come off the plastic spool counter clockwise but to my eyes, it doesn't appear to come off any differently regardless of how it comes off the plastic spool.
WTF is going on?
