I work on a dairy farm that has a group of ferals that work as mousers, and every year there's an explosion of kittens like pic related. If we don't find people to adopt and neuter at least half of them they become players in the Biannual Kitten Holocaust. It's sad, but when their numbers get too large to be satisfied with mice that go after the grain, they just trash native animals and rip heads off endangered parrots for fun. Cats are good for pest control and as fuzzy little indoor companions. Cats in the wild are bad news
