My Stella has been growing exceptionally well this year, despite its containment. It's shed about 20-25% of its leaves now, I would estimate. Expecting the rest of them to yellow and fall throughout September.
I've been meaning to ask, though, for anyone more knowledgeable in tree care - How long can I get away with keeping it in containment? More specifically, I want to know at what point will the soil be exhausted of all nutrients and the fertilizer I give it no longer acts as a supplement, but instead as its only source of food, almost akin to a hydroponic setup? Cause I feel like the soil is rapidly reaching that point, if it hasn't already. Potting soil is fucking ass in nutrient content, and I'd like to know when it needs to be re-potted. Was hoping to get at least another year out of it.
