Microplastics are a massive concern though, especially the micro-plastics in the Oceans, broken down plastic bottles and bags are turning the ocean cancerous. The estrogen thing is mostly a concern for people on wells, as apparently less than 1% percent of estrogen in normal water supplies comes from birth control, but a lot more of it comes from livestock. The planet is being ruined though, Chinas release of a massive amount of coal pollution in the arctic is causing massive destruction of icebergs, and recycling efforts are not nearly good enough. That being said, it is not hopeless, sometimes you just gotta keep living, just never trust anyone who cares more for industry than the world we stand on.
