That doesn't mean that it's not well suited for wood in other areas however. For example I live in the Southeast US, but 2 of my favorite patterns are Michigan's and Jerseys. I also really like Tassies and Connecticuts. The most important part of an axe in regards to the application youre going to be using it in is the overall profile. I've combined 2 images to give you a better idea of what I mean.
