>>307564Of course. The word essentially means raised bed, but without sides (hill culture). You mound up filler stuff, in this case twigs, limbs, and logs then cover it with your growing medium. It is a very old no-till method or raised bed gardening.
There are various methods from the dead wood to just mounded dirt.
Check out the 8gb pack of videos, "Permaculture Pack, Gardening, Water, Soil & Mollison, Lawton, Holzer [LitZ~Bundle]" and the video in it, "2002 Holzer- Farming with Terraces and Raised Beds (Permaculture)". In that there's an example of a hybrid method that uses both the mounded dirt and dead matter with the growing medium over top of it. It also uses planted fruit trees between the rows.
