Definitively white or dingy white veil remnants (warts). White or only barely yellowish stipe. Droopy, wavy annulus. Very clear zone of shagginess at the top of the base, probably the most important identifier other than cap color. Base/volva is not overly enlarged and not very sac-like. Poisonous and psychoactive.
>preservation>Phase 0These can be dried in a dehydrator, in the sun, or with a fan effectively, like any other mushroom. I always prepare mine right away so I never dry them, but I did try leaving one cap out in the sun once. It was funny to see that they do in fact attract and incapacitate flies, there were a bunch of flies standing around the cap when I collected it later.
