I use my knife more than other tools I have to be honest, I will use it as a screw driver, a FUCK ton of batoning, cutting twigs, making feather sticks, stoking and flipping logs in the fire, using it on my feroserium rod to start said fire, small digging (like digging the fire pit), hammering, cutting packs as you stated along with paracord etc, sometimes I eat off my blade as well.
I have a sharade sharpening tool that I take with me so I don't really worry too much about dulling the blade, but I've had this guy for 3 years now and it's running strong, I honestly am really impressed with it's performance and durability, considering it's a ~$30 knife from Glock.
