Germany reporting in.
I'am from the South-North. Industrial forests are the only Green Spots in the Landscape. Farmland dominates Germany.
Our laws are okay: I always operate in the Grey are between legal and barely legal.
The next bigger Wooden Area to my location is the Black Forest. The region is almost rectangular with a length of 160 km (99 mi) and breadth of up to 60 km (37 mi).The forest mostly consists of pines and firs, chiefly a mixture of the European native Norway Spruce and American imported Douglas Fir and White Pine. Most of them are grown in commercial monoculture. It's again an huge Industrial Forest Area. The Forest is named after the dark Firs. The landscape can bore you quick.
Feldberg (1,493 m (4,898 ft)), highest mountain of the Black Forest.
A few Parts of the Black Forest are flagged as 'Nature Park'.
Picture related is from last Winter. 250km (155mi) away from the Black Forest. Due the mild Weather we had no snow.
