Pic rel is what it look like standing right in the middle of one of the bays, looking south. See how it sorta closes in on you? That's what I mean by interior bay.

Luckily, we put it against the back of the mountain. Only by tracing mountain lines were we able to find it again. Can't imagine what would of happened if we just staked on one of the grassy mesas. Always camp with your back to the wall down there.
Also glad my friend was coolheaded about it. Can't imagine what a tantrum my bitch of a girlfriend would have thrown, had I gone with her.
