>>444875Probably the single best gear decision I made the entire trail. Personally I prefer Chacos to Tevas. Most of the Tevas I saw on trail had some pretty serious wear and tear, but my Chacos are basically brand new after 2000+ miles on them. I find them to be more comfortable as well.
Got some snow in late fall up in Maine, so they weren't totally ideal for that but with 2 pairs of wool socks on they were fine. For everything else they were really awesome.
Started in boots, ditched them after 3 weeks.
