I work as a forest manager in Scotland which requires me outdoors all year round.
My go to is
Top: Bamboo thermal layer, shirt, fleece, jacket.
Bottoms: Bamboo thermal layer, some light weight walking trousers with vent zips (montane do some good ones), Waterproof over trousers to keep heat in if very cold and to deal with the wet weather.
Your biggest problem will be when you stop moving to camp. Just ensure you have a 4 season sleeping bag and a decent tent. Most people wear layers in their sleeping bag too. Make sure you wear a hat if you don't have a mummy bag as a fuck ton of heat will escape your head in the night and wake you up. A good tip is to jump around or jog on the spot before getting into the sleeping bag to generate some fresh heat.
I'd do a couple of nights out before you do a seriously long journey to make sure you can handle it.
Good luck my dude
