Well this Google search does not bode well. I decided to make a redneck pumpkin patch. I’ll post a photo later. My brilliant idea was to put dow cardboard, dump two or three mounds on top of it, see if the seedling transplants are happy, then just spend the rest of the time dumping coffee grounds and clippings or whatever on the cardboard.
My thinking is if the pumpkins don’t make it, I’ll have a relatively ow-effort small extra patch to plant greens in the fall, and if things go really well I’ll get a pie or two out of this, but…. Are all the raccoons, deer, and foxes going to eat my sugar pumpkins.
