I am trying to trap a few beavers who keep chewing down all the trees at my aunt's small pond with conibear traps. Where should I be setting these traps at? Most of the youtube videos say to damage their dam and set the trap where they will swim into it, but there are no dams or running water that I can see nearby. I also haven't been able to find any sort of den that looks like they might be living in.
There are a bunch of slides around the backside of the pond which is where I set the traps up but I haven't had any luck.
