>>2676440Snares are these wire cages that have 6 loops made of thick line or weed eater line, the cage is filled with squid or something with a lot of scent and cast into either the surf, a jetty, a pier, or bay where there are crabs. The snare will sit there for a few mins and hopefully crabs will come and try and take the bait and get tangled or when you give start your retrieve with a big pull the loop will close around a leg or claw, then you have to do steady retrieve because if you lose tension in the snare the loop wrapped around a leg or claw might want to go back to its open position.
