The error was on my part, I looked the spacings we use here in germany, and for conifers the number of Plants per hectar is much smaller than for decidous trees.
What spacing would you use for Quercus petraea / Quercus robur, Fagus sylvatica, fraxinus excelsior?

Currently, we're thinning out a culture of Pinus sylvatica with Fagus sylvatica, Pseudotsuga menziesii, Picea abies and Betula pendula mixed in. The wood will most probably go to a certain swedish furniture company or go into pallets.
