Anyway life under capitalism sucks ass for sure but you can get all the gear you need wayyyyyy cheaper than that. Or just grow a pair and steal/scam from outdoors stores it's braindead easy. It's also very very easy to get away with traveling across private property (large parcels in the west at east) if you're stealthy and respectful. Of course, it's only getting harder, but if you're cunning and willing to make some sacrifices real life will welcome you back.
