I added some shake and feed slow release fertilizer around the plants after transplanting them and haven't done any fertilizing since. They are on a trellis / running along a fence so they get a ton of sun.
And probably what helps a lot is keeping them well watered with a drip system so the water can soak in deep.
Squash vines rounded he corner on one side of the yard and are a foot from reaching the other, but no lattice over there. The older leaves near the middle are getting a bit haggard, but the out ones are healthy and keep spawning new squash.
