Osprey makes good packs, I also have an Aether 70. As an expedition pack it is a good all-rounder, and is great for ski touring.
Not sure I'd buy it again, as the shape of the pack doesn't quite fit my back. Mountain Hardwear makes some good larger volume packs, though when you get that big it all becomes a bit moot.
Right now I've got my eye on a pack from Cold Cold World, a small company that hand sews packs in New Hampshire. These things are moderately light and are built to last for a decade. They sew packs as ordered, so the owners are happy to make minor customizations during the build process. Nice people.
