Canada is actually breddy good for that if you go far north enough. It's basically mandatory to be off grid in the Yukon and N.W.T if you go any distance away from the towns. We got some pretty doofy laws regarding firearms and stuff compared to the U.S, but out in the boonies nobody really gives a rip and you can just do whatever you want most of the time anyways.
