>>624760>>624824For the record, if your EDC tasks are limited to light use you would be well served by something as thin as possible, as most production folding knives have geometries optimized for minimizing warranty claims, not for actually being good at cutting things.
As a point of reference, I EDC a blade literally half as thick as most production folders (actually closer to 1/3 as thick behind the edge) and have no issues with it for food prep, cardboard, clam she'll packaging, etc.
The blade is ~1/16" thick at the spine and FFG down to ~0.010" behind the edge, compared to a minimum of 3/32" at the spine and 0.025-0.035" behind the edge for most production folders.
